True Colors

People put on a mask,
To hide their true selves.
It's like make up
So that it conceals all the haggardness, blemishes, acne and pimples.
People put on that congeniality crown,
To get what they want.
And when they finally have no use for it,
They just throw it away just like that.
The actions are toxic,
The words fake.
The comfort and hugs mean nothing,
Believe me (well lies).
All the animosity,
All the hate,
It's due to one thing,
Plastics.
Plastic is bad for the environment.
Plastic contributes so much to pollution.
There is so much plastic scattered all around the world.
Plastic.
A word used to define a particular person or group of people.
Plastic.
A word that perfectly describes someone who is superficial.
Plastic,
What they are.
